The “HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa Endurance Championship” will be held at the Bahrain Endurance Village on Friday and Saturday.

Held under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports First Deputy Chairman, General Sports Authority Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee President, the two-day championship will feature a series of international, local, and qualifying races, in addition to a race for junior riders.

International qualifying races for the distances of 120 km and 100 km will be held on Friday.

A local race for a distance of 100 km, qualifiers for local 40 km and 80 km races, and the local 60-km junior race will also be held on the same day.

The Bahrain International Endurance Village today hosted the veterinary examination of the participating horses.

The Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF) is keen to hold the junior race, following the outstanding success of the previous editions. It is part of its plans to hone the skills of young Bahraini riders and prepare them to be endurance champions in the future.

On Saturday, the Bahrain Endurance Village will host the private stables’ race for 120 km over HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa’s Cup.

The veterinary examination of the participating horses will be held on Friday.
