Air France Expands Global Network With Daily Direct Flights to Abu Dhabi

Air France, the French flag carrier, is set to further expand its global network during the upcoming winter season of 2023-2024 with the addition of two new routes out of its hub at Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport.

The airline will introduce daily direct flights to Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, and Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina, USA. This expansion comes as Air France aims to meet the growing demand for long-haul travel and reconnect passengers with key destinations worldwide.

One of the highlights of Air France’s winter schedule is the introduction of daily direct flights to Abu Dhabi. The service will be operated in cooperation with Etihad Airways, Air France’s strategic partner.

Flights will be operated by the Airbus A350-900 aircraft on this route.

Furthermore, the airline will increase its presence in the United States with the addition of Raleigh-Durham as its 14th US destination.

Air France will operate three weekly flights to North Carolina using Boeing 787-9 aircraft.

In addition to the new routes, Air France will extend its services to several other destinations. The Ottawa route, inaugurated in June, will continue operating throughout the winter season.

The airline will also increase its capacities to Asia, with a remarkable 60 percent growth compared to the previous winter. This expansion will be driven by increased flights to China and Japan, including daily flights to Beijing, Shanghai, and Hong Kong.

Moreover, Air France will add a second flight to Tokyo-Haneda, increasing its frequency to Tokyo’s two airports to up to 16 times a week.

The airline is also set to resume daily flights to Bangkok, Thailand, during the winter season.

Air France is set to strengthen its services to Central and South America with the introduction of daily flights to San José, Costa Rica, and increased capacity on the Bogota route.

Furthermore, the airline will inaugurate a new route between Pointe-à-Pitre, Guadeloupe, and Saint-Martin, expanding its Caribbean regional network to seven destinations.
