Bahrain: Enrollment Opens for Kids Born Between September and December 2017

The Ministry of Education in Bahrain has announced that applications are now being accepted for the enrolment of new students born between September and December 2017 for the first grade of the academic year 2023-2024.

The decision comes following the approval of the Council of Ministers, chaired by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. As part of this initiative, children born in September, October, November, and December of the year 2017 will be allowed to join their peers born in the same year.

Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, the Minister of Education, visited the application centre to oversee the progress of the registration. Yesterday, the ministry said it allowed the registration of students born in September 2017.

Upcoming registration days are scheduled as follows: Sunday for students born in October 2017, Monday for students born in November 2017, Tuesday for students born in December 2017, and Wednesday and Thursday for those who missed the initial registration period.

Separately, the minister announced they will start conducting exams for students who did not succeed in the third year of middle school and high school starting in September.

Exams will continue for two weeks. Schedules, the minister said, will be announced in August.
