Boozed up Formula 1 Revellers Cause Chaos at Abu Dhabi Grand Prix

An Abu Dhabi Grand Prix party turned into chaos over the weekend as a massive brawl erupted among intoxicated attendees, who started throwing bottles at each other.

Max Verstappen, the Red Bull driver, clinched the Formula 1 World Champion title in what turned out to be a historic year for the Dutch racer, securing his 19th victory of the season.

However, the celebrations among fans took an unruly turn, resulting in security having to intervene when partygoers engaged in a dramatic altercation at the Yas Marina Circuit. This remarkable $1.3 billion race track served as the venue for the thrilling race.

Shocking video footage has emerged showing a violent altercation taking place at an exclusive event held on a balcony overlooking the race course, which was adorned with Red Bull-branded umbrellas.

The confrontation involved several groups of Formula 1 enthusiasts, some believed to be British, engaging in physical altercations using bottles of alcohol while also scrambling over furniture in an attempt to attack each other.

With numerous videos capturing chaotic scenes during what appears to be a post-race gathering, it remains unclear whether multiple altercations broke out independently or if they were connected in some way.

One individual, identified as an X user, who claimed to have attended the event, shared footage on the platform. In the video, they mentioned that those involved in the skirmishes were from the UK, humorously commenting, ‘Seems like the British can’t be taken anywhere.’

In the opening moments of one of the clips documenting the incident, a woman can be observed passionately shouting at a group of men who were attempting to navigate their way past her. They were only separated by a single security staff member.

Another woman is pictured wrapping her arm around the neck of a man, desperately trying to restrain him and prevent him from getting involved.

Horrified and amused onlookers witness an ongoing and seemingly never-ending clash, with an increasing number of participants joining in.

A partygoer, clad in a vibrant red t-shirt, can be seen frantically traversing the pristine white couches in an attempt to pummelled another individual before being restrained. Subsequently, a man donning a white t-shirt retaliates.

As the intensity of the violence escalates, a few of the men resort to employing bottles of beer and wine as weapons.

One individual hurls what appears to be a bottle of champagne or prosecco directly at another man, while others can be observed recklessly brandishing large bottles as they sprint about.

As security attempts to restrain some of the men, the red VIP cordons are knocked to the ground. The few visible staff members who are trying to prevent the altercation from escalating quickly find themselves outnumbered. The DJ’s voice can be heard urging the gathered crowds to “let’s go” as he performs for the race weekend, but he suddenly realises the situation has taken a turn for the worse. Growing increasingly concerned, he implores security to intervene at the table and address the unruly behaviour.

As a disagreement escalates into violence, the sound of Kanye West’s hit song ‘All of the Lights’ fills the air in the background. The controversial rapper, who has recently faced criticism for his new single Vultures, was spotted at the Grand Prix on Sunday alongside other famous stars such as Ty Dolla $ign, Chris Brown, and Bump J. This news comes after Kanye was seen partying to his song in Dubai, which garnered negative attention.

In the video, the group can be seen performing energetically with the controversial line, ‘How I’m antisemitic? I just hooked up with a Jewish woman,’ played loudly over the speakers.

Despite the recent uproar surrounding the new song, Kanye was in great spirits as he was photographed at the race.

An array of other celebrities, including Naomi Campbell and Priyanka Chopra, also attended the highly anticipated race.

Red Bull has been reached out to for a comment.
