Saudi: Transport Authority To Slap SR5000 Fine for Violating Regulation Related to National Address

The Transport General Authority (TGA) will slap a fine amounting to SR5000 on any driver or designated company in the event of failure to comply with the regulation regarding the use of the national address.

This was revealed by Saleh Al-Zuwayed, spokesman of the Transport General Authority (TGA). Attending a program titled “Saudi Street” on the Saudi television channel, Al-Zuwayed said that the executive regulations of the Transport Law stipulate a number of terms and conditions that are mandatory to be complied with by the designated companies, and these include the obligation to use the national address and make it available to customers.

“The beneficiary can lodge a complaint with the company, and for which the company shall be furnished its response within seven working days. If the company failed to respond, the complaint can be referred to the TGA,” he said while noting that the goal is to enhance awareness about the use of the national address by users and companies and speed up the arrival of shipments and orders.
