UAE: Ramadan Fasting Period To Exceed 14 Hours From April 11

As the holy month of Ramadan inches closer to its end, this year, the fasting hours will exceed 14 hours in the UAE, said the Chairman of the Emirates Astronomy Society. Starting Tuesday, April 11, those observing Ramadan in the Emirates will be fasting for periods over 14 hours. Eid Al-Fitr is predicted to begin on April 21, with an official announcement pending based on the moon sighting.

The reason for the increase in fasting duration is longer days and shorter nights towards the end of April. UAE residents could get a long weekend for Eid Al-Fitr 2023 as travel queries have seen a substantial increase during this period, especially for hassle-free travel destinations. Travellers have multiple access to multiple countries using a UAE residency visa.
