Dubai International Boat Show Celebrates 30 Years as the Gulf’s Premier Maritime Event

Dubai’s flagship boat show, the Dubai International Boat Show (DIBS), is gearing up for its highly anticipated 30th edition next month at Dubai Harbour. Organisers have revealed ambitious plans for the largest showcase yet when the event runs from February 28 to March 3.

Over 200 boats are expected to be on display at DIBS 2024 alongside participation from more than 1,000 marine brands. Major players like Gulf Craft and Sunreef Yachts have already confirmed their involvement. “I am pleased to announce our participation in the 30th edition of the Dubai International Boat Show,” said Gulf Craft Chairman Mohamed Alshaali. “We look forward to presenting our latest vessels, embodying innovation, and maritime excellence.”

Sunreef Yachts Founder & President Francis Lapp added the company was “pushing the electric transition forward” by showcasing its range of electric catamarans at DIBS, including the all-electric Sunreef Power Eco 80. “We want to promote a cleaner boating experience and the DIBS is a wonderful opportunity to do so.”

Organisers at the Dubai World Trade Centre are promising the most extensive DIBS programme yet aligned with Dubai’s growth as a global maritime hub. “Dubai attracts more interest as it expands its yachting amenities and offerings, creating a comprehensive ecosystem,” said Trixie LohMirmand, Executive Vice President, Events Management, at DWTC.

In addition to unveiling the latest superyachts, DIBS 2024 will highlight Dubai’s sustainability credentials through initiatives like the recently launched 400,000 cubic metre Dubai Reef project. A focus on marine conservation is fitting given Dubai recently hosted crucial climate summit COP28.

With attractions planned across watersports, luxury automobiles and Emirati culture, the 30th DIBS looks set to be the biggest celebration yet of Dubai’s thriving blue economy when the event launches later this month. Industry figures will gather to discuss opportunities in the field at the accompanying Middle East Leisure Yachting Conference.

Tickets are now available.
