Kuwait reports 662 new cases; Total cases reach 32,510

Kuwait has recorded 662 new cases of the novel coronavirus over the past 24 hours, taking the country’s infection tally to 32,510, the Kuwaiti news agency KUNA reported Monday.

The Health Ministry also announced five more deaths from COVID-19, bringing the total such fatalities in the country to 269.

All the new cases were in contact with previously infected people or are being investigated for sources of infection, the Health Ministry’s spokesman Dr Abdullah Al Sanad said in a media update.

The Health Ministry earlier Monday reported that 1,037 more patients have recovered from the disease over the past 24 hours, bringing to 21,242 the total of such recoveries in the country.
