Emirates Celebrates Diwali With Special Onboard Treats and Bollywood Entertainment

Dubai’s Emirates Airline will celebrate Diwali onboard flights to and from India from November 9 to 15.

Travellers are heading to and from key Indian destinations, including Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Cochin, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Thiruvananthapuram, Kolkata, and Mumbai.

The airline will offer a delectable selection of Diwali sweets and traditional fare in its lounges, as well as special Diwali-themed cocktails and mocktails.

In Premium Economy and Economy Class, passengers can relish a traditional motichoor laddu. Meanwhile, First and Business Class passengers will be offered Pista rolls.

Emirates’ First Class Lounge in Dubai will serve a Thali set and a mouthwatering dessert of Kulfi Falooda, a traditional Indian ice cream infused with saffron and pistachio.

Passengers can also enjoy Diwali delicacies like dal kachori and vegetable samosas, accompanied by a Phuljadi cocktail featuring Woodford Reserve, chai mix, lemon, orange, and agave.

For those in the Business Class Lounge, the menu includes kachori, samosas, angoori rabdi, and rasgullas, along with the Diwali cocktail, Rum ta jogi, crafted with white rum, elderflower, lemon, and a pinch of chaat masala.

Emirates Lounges in Cape Town and Johannesburg, where a significant Indian diaspora resides, will offer more Diwali treats, including ladoo, jalebi, and burfi.

Passengers can further immerse themselves in Indian culture with an extensive selection of Bollywood movies available through Emirates’ ice entertainment library, featuring up to 260 Indian films, including classics, regional hits, and the highly anticipated film “Kantara.”

In addition to the cinematic experience, the airline will present a special collection of Yash Raj Films, known as Bollywood’s ‘father of romance.’

Customers can also enjoy music videos from Yash Raj and explore over 30 albums and playlists of Indian music.
