Two Injured in Dubai Shopping Mall Collapse

Dubai Police announced two people were injured when an iconic shopping centre in the city partially collapsed on Saturday, December 16.

Authorities “took swift action” when a small section of Al Mulla Plaza collapsed under the weight of heavy materials. Two people were injured in the incident.

A statement shared on social media said: “Dubai Police said that government authorities have taken swift action to manage the situation arising from the collapse of a small part of Al Mulla Plaza last night.

“The incident, caused by the improper storage of heavy materials, led to minor injuries to two people. “Government departments responded rapidly to ensure the safety of everyone, including workers and visitors.”

Al Mulla Plaza is one of the oldest shopping centres in the city and is considered a city landmark.
