Sheikh Hamdan Approves New Brand Identity for Dubai Health

At a press conference held at the Dubai Press Club, the unveiling of the new brand identity showed the commitment to collaborative teamwork and excellence across health, education, and research domains.

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai emphasised on the transformation of Dubai into a global model for human health, ensuring efficient medical services and adherence to international healthcare practices.

“The new brand identity builds on Dubai’s robust healthcare system and is a significant step towards shaping a new paradigm of excellence for the sector,” Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Health Board of Directors said, highlighting the sector’s importance in realising the vision of a world-class healthcare system, dedicated to the well-being of communities.

‘Dubai Health,’ the emirate’s first integrated academic health system, oversees six hospitals, 26 ambulatory health centres, and 20 medical fitness centres.

Affiliated with Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences (MBRU) and Al Jalila Foundation, ‘Dubai Health’ aims to provide evidence-based care and enhance patient outcomes.

“Through the integration of care, learning, discovery, and giving, ‘Dubai Health’ aligns with global best practices, harnessing the transformative power of an integrated academic health system for the emirate,” Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice Chairman of the Dubai Health Board of Directors said.

The primary value of ‘Dubai Health’ is ‘Patient First,’ reflecting a dedication to delivering high-quality care, ensuring patient safety, and promoting a positive patient experience.

“This marks a new phase in realising the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to consolidate Dubai’s position as a leading global healthcare destination,” Dr. Amer Sharif, CEO of Dubai Health and President of MBRU said.

The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) and ‘Dubai Health’ share responsibilities, with DHA ensuring a high-quality healthcare system and ‘Dubai Health’ establishing global standards for patient care.

Dr. Sharif noted that the new brand identity and future vision align with DHA’s efforts to strengthen Dubai’s standing as a global exemplar in healthcare.

Effective November 11, 2023, Dubai Academic Health Corporation will operate under the new brand name ‘Dubai Health,’ contributing to the pursuit of a sustainable, knowledge-based economy and supporting the growth of the health sector.

The corporation, with over 11,000 professionals, has achieved significant milestones, recording millions of outpatient visits, emergency department visits, patient admissions, and contributing to numerous studies and research papers since 2016.

The move underscores Dubai’s commitment to advancing healthcare excellence and shaping the future of the sector on a global scale.
