Kuwait: 1,168 new cases, 8 deaths reported

Kuwait confirmed 1,168 new COVID-19 infections on Thursday, raising the total  295,861 cases.  

The Ministry of Health said that 8 virus infected patients had passed away, bringing the death toll to 1,711 since the outbreak of the pandemic. No information was provided on the ages of those who died or if they suffered any pre-existing conditions.

Ministry’s spokesman Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad said that 980infected patients had recovered from the virus, raising the overall tally to 281,920.  

The health authorities conducted 10,660 swab tests, taking the overall number of tests to 2.49 million.
