The 85-year-old Tibetan spiritual leader, the 14th Dalai Lama, was administered the first dose of the Covishield Covid-19 vaccine on Saturday in Dharmsala, India.
After receiving the injection, he urged people to come forward and get vaccinated.
Ten other people who live in the Dalai Lama’s residence were also administered the Covishield vaccine.
