A Positive Change: Mohammed Sater Shares His Experience of Driving an Audi e-Tron

Electric Vehicles are revolutionising the automotive landscape in the Kingdom of Bahrain. No longer a distant reality, car owners are steadily embracing EVs owing to greater environmental awareness and a commitment to reducing carbon emissions. The government is implementing policies to incentivize EV adoption and expand charging infrastructure across the kingdom. At the same time, a wave of enthusiasm among consumers is driving the demand for electric mobility solutions and automotive brands are rising to the occasion.

Audi has been one of the front-runners of the EV revolution in Bahrain. Their electric vehicles have sparked this shift towards sustainable mobility, encouraging environmentally-conscious consumers to choose cleaner and smarter transportation solutions.

In this exclusive interview, we delve into the experiences and insights of one such discerning customer, Mohammed Sater who has made the seamless transition to Audi’s electric fleet. He talks about why he switched to eco-friendly driving, how it fares in comparison to a petrol-run vehicle and the unparalleled thrill of cruising through Bahraini streets in one of the luxury car brand’s cutting-edge EVs, the Audi e-tron.

Why did you decide to choose the Audi e-tron?

I was drawn to buying an electric car. This model particularly stood out to me due to its design, its classification as a raised SUV (sport utility vehicle), and the build quality, which is a hallmark of German manufacturing.

How did you manage the switch to an EV?

Our petrol-run car at home has become our secondary vehicle. Primarily, we use the Audi EV for general use and everyday driving.

What do you prefer about the driving of an electric car? The Audi e-tron versus petrol?

The car is incredibly quiet and smooth. The acceleration is seamless, and you barely feel anything. It responds perfectly to your commands, making for a very comfortable driving experience.

How often do you have to charge your car?

I charge the car just about once or twice a week. It saves me the time of driving to a gas station and waiting for a while to fuel-up the tank.

What advice would you give to someone in this market that’s perhaps looking at potentially buying an electric vehicle?

Just remember, charging at home changes the way you refill your car, in a positive way. I definitely recommend buying an Electric Vehicle.

Electric cars are really quiet. How do you know if it’s switched on or switched off?

It’s smart enough to tell you.
