Saudi Mulls Massive Tennis Investment, Alcaraz, Kyrgios, ATP Boss Have Their Say
Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) is considering a major investment in professional tennis, according to media reports.
The man in charge of men’s professional tennis said the sport’s effective governing body has had “positive talks” with the sovereign wealth fund.
ATP chief Andrea Gaudenzi said the organisation has met with PIF to discuss potential partnership and sponsorship options.
Saudi Arabia is increasingly looking to sport investment as it diversifies its economy away from a reliance on oil.
Many current players have spoken positively of investment from Saudi Arabia, including Nick Kyrgios and Carlos Alcaraz.
