Saudi Arabia Boosts Ramadan, Eid Al-Fitr Sales With Early Discount Licenses
Saudi Arabia announced advancing dates for issuing of discount licenses to commercial establishments and stores in a bid to early commencement of the Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr sales season this year.
The country’s Ministry of Commerce said commercial establishments and electronic stores can now apply for discount licenses electronically through the site: sales.mc.gov.sa.
The Ramadan and Eid discount season for consumers will start from February 20 until April 14.
The electronic submission will enable establishments and stores to easily obtain discount licenses and launch their discount campaigns.
The advancing of the discount sale season this year will also enable e-commerce shoppers to obtain their products early.
Consumers can verify the type and percentage of discounts by scanning the “barcode” appearing in the discount license.
