Dubai Tops As World’s No.1 Wedding Destination

Dubai has emerged at the top as the wedding destination of choice globally, this was attributed to world-class infrastructure, award-winning cuisine and service.

In addition, the city has positioned itself as the hub where bespoke wedding requests are available, ceremonies incorporate the latest trends and new technologies and the influence of social media prevail.

The Dubai Wedding Symposium was held from February 16-18 and brought together industry professionals who unveiled the demand of couples choosing the city as their wedding destination. The emirate’s 360-degree service and public-private partnership model was highlighted as advantageous factors.

Laila Suhail, CEO of Strategic Alliances and Partnerships Sector, Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET), said: “With the goal of becoming the world’s best city to visit, live and work in, aligned with the D33 Agenda launched by our visionary leadership, we must ensure that Dubai stays ahead of the curve for global wedding trends and create opportunities and memorable moments for all visitors.
