Coronavirus Cases in Saudi Arabia rise above 1,100

The number of cases in Saudi Arabia has reached more than 1,100 with the 92 new cases announced yesterday.

Of the 1,104 total cases, there have been 35 recoveries and three mortalities in Saudi Arabia, the Ministry of Health said.

King Salman chaired an extraordinary virtual summit with G20 leaders on Thursday to coordinate the global response to the virus pandemic.

The king also extended a curfew in effect in Saudi Arabia’s cities of Riyadh, Makkah and Madinah to run from 3 p.m. Movement across the Kingdom was banned from 7pm to 6am earlier this week.
